  • LPG Pressurized Storage: Aspek Design Aspek Fabrikasi, Inspeksi dan Konstruksi
  • Reference Codes or International Standard
    • API Standard 2510, Design and Construction of LPG Installation
    • API Publication 2510a, Fire Protection Considerations for the Design and Operation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Storage Facilities.
    • ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and Division 2 for Pressurized Storage Tank Design.
  • LPG Characteristic
    • Mixture of propane and butane (about 70% and 30%).
    • Exist as vapor under ambient temperature.
    • Flammable and heavier than air
    • Large vapor to liquid ratio
    • Non corrosive
    • Normally having specific gravity 0.49 to 0.57 (as liquid)

Skill focus:

  • LPG Storage Design
  • Design and construction of LPG Vessel shall meet requirement of the ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1 or Division 2. In general, ASME Codes are applied as follow:
    • ASME Section VIII Division 1, applied for Horizontal Vessel
    • ASME Section VIII Division 2, applied for Spherical Tank
  • Spherical Pressurized LPG Tank and Bullet Tank
  • Minimum distance requirement API Standard 2510
  • Sitting of Pressurized LPG Tanks and Equipment API Standard 2510

    API Standard 2510 Section 7: Liquid-Level Gauging Equipment & Max. Liquid Level
